Very private information
Looking at the picture to the right you will probably perceive that it is not someone with much worries about the daily living. The person on it, so me, could, if it would please him, spend his days in doing nothing. But mostly this doesn't happen, because of a multitude of interests. Often it's even so, that the days are to short and a part of the night must be used to compensate that.
The picture has been made recently. If you want to guess my age, go ahead. I will not reveal that there are rumours, that I was born in 1933.
To attentive readers of this page it will be clear that my name is Jo (for the postman and the tax-collector's office: J.P.G.) Jansen and that I'm living in Deurne, a village of about 30,000 inhabitants, situated in the south-east of the Netherlands (or more precise about 25 kilometres east of Eindhoven), on the borders of an ancient peat called "De Peel", that has been reclaimed even until after the end of the last world war. Now there are only a few areas left in their natural state, but those are preserved as a national park or as a reserve. Most of them can be visited free.
The village itself is not so bad, either. Nice shops, pleasant café's and restaurants and of course pretty people. There are some interesting old buildings and a well known museum "de Wieger". The picture to the right is from the ruins of a castle, that has been destroyed in the last days of the last world war. Probably these parts will be integrated in a reconstruction project.
